Skip to content All News Sport Culture Lifestyle A major internet outage has taken down online banking app Revolut and many of the UK’s biggest websites. The problems appeared to be at least partly linked to technical issues at Google Cloud, the search giant’s web services division. Online services from Rightmove to UK courts have been affected, where an outage in the video system used for trials forced hearings to be delayed.
Google has said in a new update it is “seeing the recovery of services for most workloads” on the affected systems, and will provide another update by 3pm UK time, apologising again to “all who are affected by the disruption”. Meanwhile, delivery company DPD has said that its problems are fixed, alongside budgeting app Emma, which wrote: “Your data and money were safe throughout. Some balances may take a little while to refresh.
Thanks for your patience.” In full Revolut down latest: Huge internet outage hits several companies after Google Cloud issues More bulletins Thank you for registering Please refresh the page or navigate to another page on the site to be automatically logged in Please refresh your browser to be logged in
